IAAO Course 400

Assessment Administration

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

This course provides an overview of fundamental management concepts for management and supervisory personnel in an assessor's office and focuses on the need for management, and the responsibilities placed on the assessor and all supervisory personnel. The course introduces the four major management functions: planning, organizing, directing, and controlling with a separate chapter devoted to each function for more in-depth learning and discussion.

For Illinois Assessors, this course provides 30 hours of continuing education as approved by the Illinois Department of Revenue and the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. The IDOR and IPAI will allow the course to be taken as either an exam or seminar provided the student declares their intention prior to taking the course. If you have any interest in possibly obtaining one of the IAAO's highly prestigious designations, you must take this class as an exam.

Seventeen (17) attendees are necessary in order to conduct the course. Registration must be received by June 23rd. If the State of Illinois is shut down because of COVID-19, this offering will be switched to virtual for everyone.
