Please note that there is ongoing construction in downtown Joliet affecting access to the meeting location. The Jefferson Street Bridge is closed and construction of the new courthouse has also affected traffic patterns as streets (Joliet Street and Washington Street) are closed for a day or two. The following directions use roads not affected by these issues. nnDirections to Joliet Township Government building from I-80: n

• Exit north on Chicago Street (exit 132). This exit is just east of the bridge and the DesPlaines River.

• Continue approximately 1⁄4 mile north to McDonough Street (light). BP and Dunkin Donuts are on the corners. 

n

• Turn left (west) on McDonough Street and proceed to DesPlaines Street. This is the 3rd cross street. 

n

• Turn right (north) on DesPlaines Street. This is not a stop. If you go over the bridge you went too far and need to turn around.

• Take DesPlaines Street and go under the RR tracks past the police station till it ends at Jefferson Street approximately 1 mile. The Jefferson Street Bridge on your left and closed for repairs.

• Go directly across the street to the Joliet Township Government building.

• The meeting is in the board room located at the north end of the building. You can access it directly from the north entrance (closest to Harrah's Casino).
